A confessional Lutheran congregation in Elgin, Illinois

We are a sister congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, gathering each Sunday around Christ's Word and Sacraments.

Christ Crucified

"We preach Christ crucified," wrote the Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 1:23). The crucifix above our altar holds the cross before our eyes every Sunday because the death of God's Son is the church's central message. By His death our sins are forgiven, and through that same cross God still gives the gifts of salvation today.

The Word of the Lord Endures Forever

"The word of the Lord endures forever" (1 Peter 1:25). The Latin Verbum Domini Manet in Aeternum, abbreviated VDMA, was a motto of the Lutheran Reformation, and we hold to that same Word today. The same Word God spoke in Scripture is what He uses now through preaching, Baptism, and the Lord's Supper to give His people forgiveness and life.
